Our Story

From online conversations to a wet and windy walk alongside an empty canal, our story started with laughter, grew through friendship and continues with a sure and steady beat and a sense of belonging.

When we met, Missy was in the middle of selling her home in Aberdare whilst Jamie renovated his home in Ebbw Vale. What followed was a short chapter of long-distance that quickly found its own gentle rhythm; we chased waterfalls, had a ‘Gouda’ time in Amsterdam, took picnics to the park and sipped cider in the sunshine. In 2024, Jamie moved to Barry with Missy as we started to recognise the importance of what we had. From the start, there was an easiness between us (though don’t ask us about tree-gate at Christmas!)— and a warmth that helped us persevere through winter months, long days and the quiet waiting in between.

A key member of our story? Bluebell - Missy's Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel, who quickly claimed Jamie as one of her own (he never stood a chance!). Together, we’re a little trio full of laughter, muddy walks and the occasional (but very serious) fight for attention. As we talked about the future and buying a home together, everything began to feel like it was finally falling into place.

In Summer 2025, we escaped on our long-awaited holiday to Cyprus - our flights were ‘dreamy’, with a beautiful hotel, wine bars and scenery to match. On a late evening walk, surrounded by gentle waves and a summer air of anticipation, Jamie asked a very important question with a stunning ring in hand – and whilst there was a lot of jumping and excited tears, the easiest “yes” was said.

And somehow, here we are - with plans in full swing, hearts very full, and counting down to what comes next. With Bluebell by our side and a lifetime of adventures ahead, we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
